CARR TALK — The return of former Democratic FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel has people talking about who will fill the empty GOP slot at the agency. And the consensus among industry insiders is that FCC General Counsel Brendan Carr will likely be Trump’s pick. (Faithful readers know Margaret scooped Carr was in the mix of candidates back in early May.) Adding Carr to the five-member commission would be a boon to Republican Chairman Ajit Pai’s agenda, as Carr was previously an adviser in Pai’s commission office. Some of those industry insiders predict a nomination could come as early as next week.
