TODAY: KRATSIOS TALKS AI — White House Deputy CTO Michael Kratsios this afternoon will discuss the administration’s approach to regulating and promoting advances in artificial intelligence, during a New York Times event examining the subject. His appearance at the gathering comes as the Office of Science and Technology Policy looks to grow its focus on AI policy, with a central aim of maintaining U.S. competitiveness on the issue, according to an administration official. Kratsios has spoken with dozens of members of industry and academia about the future of AI as part of that effort, the official added. The NYT summit includes remarks by many leaders in the field, including Facebook CTO Mike Schroepfer, Google Cloud Chief Scientist Fei-Fei Li and Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff.
